I guess it really just boils down to how you would pronounce img, and pronouncing it image doesn't sound like the stupidest thing ever so I sound it like that

I hadn't really put two and two together and realised that the "Img" in Imgur stood for Image.
As a result, I just pronounce it (not that I ever have much call to actually pronounce it) as Imm-jur, but yeah, Imager makes more sense.
But now knowing that it should be pronounced Imager makes me resent the spelling for dumb.
