Author Topic: www.justfilehosting.space - New host, and now upload up to 750MB!  (Read 11657 times)

Updated some wording on the site to better reflect the new URLs.

Soon: Ability to (optionally) display and verify the file name through the URL for transparency purposes. (You can try it out already, just look at the HTML)

I've now fully implemented the transparent URL feature, which allows you to specify that the URL will be created with the name of the file attached to it. If the file name is not included or is changed in the request, the file will refuse to download. (Taboo is hopefully satisfied)

In addition, I've added a page which shows an extended history of public files.
http://justfilehosting.space/public.php?showfiles=50
You can view up to the last 100 files (Only about 40 are remaining on record so far, though...)

Bump because interest

Added support for the "Show filename in URL?" option.
Change the showname argument to yes to use.

Also Firefox doesn't like this file's name.
Not sure if it's because of its length or because of the use of HTML entities. More likely the former.
Tested it myself, seems to be the latter. Looks like commas and semicolons break it. Maybe some others. I dunno. I only tested the characters in the filename.

Okay thanks, updated the frontpage to that version. Also that file has a bunch of Japanese characters in it so it isn't really surprising.

In other news: I made the recent files table a little bigger so longer filenames could fit in it.

I don't actually recommend running it, but it doesn't appear to be harmful aside from making a million popups.

Just a friendly reminder that this still exists. I may move it to a faster/larger server at some point, but as of now it doesn't seem at all necessary.

I've transferred from DigitalOcean's network over to Vultr, which offered far more storage capacity for the exact same price.

Thanks to this, I've raised the file size limit to 500MB per file!

So far the only thing that seems to be out of place after the move is the captcha image, which seems to have stopped working. I'll work on that soon, please report any other weird inconsistencies.
(If you're having trouble connecting, do ipconfig /flushdns in your cmd or powershell and try again before reporting it. DNS changes sometimes take a while to settle on your system.)

Fixed captcha images. All is well in the world of justfilehosting.

Anyone want some new features? I mean, while I'm doing stuff to the site and all...
