Author Topic: Was finally able to give blood c:  (Read 1097 times)

On Wednesday the Red Cross came back to my tech school. I wasn't aware of it until a friend of mine asked me to go with him because he wanted to donate but was afraid of needles. Last time I tried to donate a good vein was impossible to find. I went with him to keep him company and to give it another shot. Luckily they were able to find one this time and I was able to give. Its nice knowing that it'll eventually help someone who needs it.
I waited a couple days to share this accomplishment because I was a bit light headed after donating, was a lot of fun walking around lol.

Discuss donations and such.

did you get some candy or a donut afterwards

my dad has O- blood and the local blood center is constantly calling us, asking him to donate

even though it's kind of a nuisance it must be cool to know that your blood may have saved peoples lives

I was thinking of giving blood (I'm way too young, I know), but I'm scared for some reason :(

My mom can't donate because of low iron content.

protip: if you don't fill out the form right, they just take all of your blood.

protip: there is a box on the form that you must fill out in order for them to not to harvest your bone marrow.
