I can imagine the frustration of someone who has had the same username for long until said person buys Blockland only to find out their username is taken.

Honestly, this is still hardly a problem on Blockland. There are lots of original names left to be used.

When the game was greenlit, it was featured for a few days on steam's feature scroll list (the thing on the top of the steam store page)
Also people dont buy the game and play it for the next 2 years, some people become inactive.
