Author Topic: Classic lego house  (Read 5533 times)

Nice, maybe post some more pictures? In daylight please :)

He's done plagiarized an amazing build and all you have to say is "EWWW IT'S A LEGO SET."
next time you build a lego build, don't lie about not using instructions, its called plagiarism.

Why don't you actually read what Furdle is saying rather than stuff a brick over something that hasn't been said. Nowhere in his post(s) did he say anything about it being bad for being based off of a lego set, rather that the OP could've mentioned that the build was based off of something already exhisting, rather than take all of the credit for himself. If you actually take the time to look between the build and Furdle's pic, the OP didn't change anything about the house detail wise, and then when prompted about design, claimed it entirely as his own work.
Seriously, you're stupid as hell.

Taking that all a step further, the OP did a pretty lazy job of copying the smaller details of the house.
- windows have been replaced with [3] blue-trans 4x1 bricks (JVS pack has the windows from the picture)
- the centered pole from the front of the house (porch area) is off-center in OP's build, since OP can't build out-of-grid and was just building from reference
- porch light isn't even finished
- there's a 1F plate missing above the garage door
- there's a 3-brick gap between the top 2 story windows (reference), not a 2-brick gap.
- no rain gutters (should be under special bricks and I believe the bricks are default, could be wrong though.)

The build is by no means bad. Copying a build also isn't too bad. Claiming the work as your own, on the other hand, is pretty bad.

he didn't claim it as his own on purpose, furdle was just asking if he used the instructions to build it, not if he did it by just looking at it. even though he did mean to say if he copied it at all.

everyone and their mothers probably built this thing or any of the generic lego sets in their life.

nonetheless it's a good start at getting better at bidding. nice job

Agreed.

he literally called it plagiarism lmao

the OP could've mentioned that the build was based off of something already exhisting, rather than take all of the credit for himself.

I looked at the house and built it I didnt use the instructions ...

white knight harder pls

idk why everyone is bitching about this
its a referenced house, its relatively well done accomplishes what its supposed to

???

What's the problem here? OP just looked at the lego set and built it based off of reference, he never said the house was his original creation. Furdle went and asked him if he used instructions or not and he didn't.

Anyway I think it's pretty good considering that he just built it based off of reference.

he literally called it plagiarism lmao
That doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the build. That just makes the design nothing special.

white knight harder pls
He admitted he referenced a lego house AFTER Furdle showed the exact same house.

It's not white knighting if you have a valid point and the original poster is capable of defending themselves.

Also not sure what the purpose of the emphasis on lego was, kinda just annoying more than anything else

Nobody is bitching about anything, Furdle's only point was that the OP should have stated in the OP he referenced a build. This isn't rocket science, it's just common courtesy not to steal other people's work.

furdle already left the thread because he realised how wrong he is lmao

because it says right there in the title that it's a loving lego house, just how dumb are you my god

Titling it "lego house" doesn't mean stuff, it's a simplified style of building. There used to be a lot more examples in gallery, but search just shows that a lot of the older lego gallery threads ('cept this one.) have their images removed or broken.

You're only further proving my point that the OP took work that wasn't his, then claimed it as his own until called out about it-
Did you build this yourself or use instructions?
I built it myself :3

What makes you think Furdle left because you thought he was wrong? You don't seem to understand Furdle lol. If anything he just didn't want to deal with you since you turn just about everything into a stuffstorm. Any time there's a major argument on the forum, I see you there. But maybe that's to be expected when your DPA is around 50

Yeah but he was saying he built it himself as opposed to using instructions

Hey guys I just made this classic lego house
if you think that means anything else you need to improve your parsing abilities lol

no i'm not, what

What makes you think Furdle left because you thought he was wrong?
because he's a little bitch and does this all the time lmao

If anything he just didn't want to deal with you since you turn just about everything into a stuffstorm.
that would be wildly out of character for him

Any time there's a major argument on the forum, I see you there.
how is this a "major argument"
this is literally just you getting buttblasted because your boyfriend was wrong lol

But maybe that's to be expected when your DPA is around 50
my what
