How do you manage your brick inventory?

ive only ever seen a video in which someone just keeps putting the brick they need in their cart even if it's already in there. it seems pretty common, actually.
but when i build i usually kinda.... phase my building and constantly clear my cart. i try and keep what i need and always remove what i dont need.

so, how do you build?

I favorite'd a cart that has only wall bricks (includes fences because fences are the best).

I have all favorites filled out to have various bricks from the different categories that i'll be using more than others^[link], and if i do need a brick that isn't in any of the favorites, i'll just quickly grab it out of the menu with the right click

I normally either use cubes, walls, baseplates, or smaller bricks
arranged by size
most of the time if I'm building I will just right click the brick I want and use it, unless it's a few small bricks repetitively

i never knew about it until a couple of years ago, but learning about it changed my life.

I have the different types of common bricks I use in my favorites which all fill up the cart. If I need to use a unique brick or just a brick I need to use a littlw then I pick it out of the list and place it in the cart. Then I'll just remove the single brick from the cart or just clear the entire things if it's disorganized.

Also what's this quick grabbing? I've never heard of that term before.
