Author Topic: I wish we could view the fail-bin  (Read 1420 times)

Bet it would be a good laugh. If I remember correctly, I think a couple years ago we could.

...and leak all the crappy addons

yeah i heard that the fail bin used to be public to everyone, except some people would still download them

not sure if it's true or not

of course it's true

guys lets protest

bring back failbin

They fail binned fail bin ages ago

If we could view the failbin it would be a metric ton of forum Self Deletes. I'm pretty sure baddy would be in trouble with the fuzz if he let us see all that research.

Another young black add-on was failed today. Brb rioting on CityRPG

Sometime around 2009/2010 it was removed, I think.
It was full of failed Add-On topics, where the Add-On was of piss poor quality, or broken in some way.
The links were left open on most things (removed sometimes on the most broken, or exploitative Add-Ons), which I suppose might have been intended so that people could pick up the Add-On and try to fix it, but it was generally just people using it for Add-Ons. After all, some of the craziest and silliest Add-Ons ended up there, even though they were broken.

However it did mean that there were ample topics in Help where people were complaining about issues caused by Add-Ons that had been failbinned.
So, Badspot closed the forum eventually. And then Ephi and Rotondo took to moving spam topics and posts into it, since I don't believe they had (originally) or have the ability to ban people/delete

I'd at least like to be able to view the titles of the threads in the fail bin.
Obviously not be able to view the threads themselves.
