This looks neat.  Might join.

Is it possible to me a licensed armed merchant?
Sure, but you'll only be able to use them in self defense. But it would be very nice to have a merchant.

Name: Alders Bootsma
Nationality: Dutch
Hometown: Amsterdam
Age and Gender: 35M
Allegiance: Dutch
Class: Licensed Armed Merchant (Contract allows only self-defense)
Physical Description: Short and sturdily built, gruff face and short, messy light brown hair.
Personal Bio: Born into the family of his father, also a merchant, whose father was a merchant, and so on.

Jack sets sail, and has the ship at half mast 10 minutes after Havana exits the horizon. The ship's flag is taken down to hide the vessel's identity.

and now we wait

you can still use the arms however you want but you would be considered a pirate; you'd be a wanted man and all
that's of course if someone finds out
and accepted

what exactly are you waiting for

Alders, where are you going to sail to first? Also, are you part of the VOC or an independent Dutch merchant?

You hide in the shadows and follow him. He enters an unmarked building. Do you dare go in?

If there are any windows or holes in the roof let's take those and be shady

not about that getting caught and shot life

Sailing around Africa to China.

It appears they were too smart to settle in a place with windows. But you do spot a hole in the roof. It'll look shady on the outside, but they won't know inside; climb up?

also you reflect on what an "attakay a habana" means because they said that a lot

Are you bringing any goods with you?
Not anything of consequence.  A single chest full of personal family treasures and heirlooms.

i am waiting for an unsuspecting spanish merchant ship, exhausted from their long trip to havana
