well are you going to attack or what
I fire my chain shot at the mast of the ship.

I then turn and fire my cannons on the starboard side at the ship.

The cannons reload, and I command them to shoot any ship coming out of the port.

I get back to my crew and prepare them for the battle we will have at night. Arm them up, get the flammables (just in case), get hype. I establish the general plan of kill people, steal their stuff, and then burn it down. If they do happen to leave, we'll just tail and board them, nbd.

Having been away from the Indian trade route for some time, Anders enters the port and asks for the directions to local plantation owners, leaves his ship at port and takes a small expeditionary force inland and makes contact with several [meta-guarded], [meta-guarded], and [meta-guarded] plantation owners, and offer them connection to foreign markets and amassed wealth if they agree to a deal that allows the Dutch to trade their goods, giving many of those interested in foreign trade samples of wealth and wares abroad.

Anders then travels back to his ship, pays the fare, and looks for a VOC trading office.

oh dear

Their mast gets torn up, and you hit their hull. They fire back and damage your ship pretty hard.

The cannons reload, and I command them to shoot any ship coming out of the port.
All the Spanish boats head towards you. You sink one or two, but there are way too many.

Ok they're armed, but question the tactic of killing them before burning their boat. After all, they look pretty scary and might hunt you down.

I order my crew for a full speed. We move forward, but as we are moving the ship fires at the other ships' sides.

Let alone as a lone ship.

Maybe if you had a fleet.  Darwin awards before Darwin.

I shoot back, but this time, I use heavy shot.

You use up your heavy shot to bust giant holes in their, uh, hull. Water is filling up their boat fast and the crew is panicking so much that their shots almost entirely miss. Good news is, looks like the battle is won. Bad news, I don't think you're going to be any richer because of it, and you still need to repair the boat.

Also, Alder's (Ander's?) [meta-gaurded] works to an extent.

How many ships do I have in the party?
