Author Topic: The Government Having Surveillance on Everyone  (Read 2129 times)

that's the opposite of what it is, doofus

its one or the other

do you want more security and less privacy,

or do you want less security and more privacy?

privacy is more important

privacy definitely
also im behind 1 proxy
safe or no?

Privacy is better.

I might disagree if it were likely to stop at a reasonable point, but it won't.  Privacy will continue to be dismantled by the government in the name of security until Big Brother actually is watching everyone.

That's just how government works; it uses its power to get more power.  Power attracts those less deserving of it, people who will not stop at rational or even beneficial limits, and so the cream sinks to the bottom and the sour milk rises to the top.

privacy is more important

So you wouldn't be concerned if some radical were to blow up an American landmark?

They have to stop somewhere fortunately. Encryption (The thing that actually prevents the government from reading a lot of things) is a fundamental part of society and it's impossible to outlaw it completely and enforce without all of society falling apart.

Read what I said above. There's a certain point where if you go too far, things start to fall apart.

considering the NSA has never found anything, i think we'll get by

How do you know that? If it weren't for counter intelligence practices, many attacks wouldn't of been prevented.

Tell that to Blackberry.

Fun fact, facebook's terms and conditions allow it to use your camera without permission or notice, keep track of pretty well everything that goes on your phone (bank log ins etc) and go through your personal photos and take/delete what they wish.
The age of privacy is reaching its end, all it takes for someone to get your personal and secure information is money.

It would be foolish to think they aren't already tracking the stuff out of you.

To have security some freedoms must be lost.

your logic is loving awful and you should be ashamed of it.

by your same logic, the counter intelligence practices may not have found anything. no further justification of qualification. if you're arguing with no evidence, you are a I D I O T.

So you wouldn't be concerned if some radical were to blow up an American landmark?
you"re not even trying. stop fearmongering.
