not sure why people are saying to not bring expensive things to school
back in highschool I'd always bring about 1.8 grand of electronics to school every day
my laptop goes with me everywhere, as it's an extension of myself and helps with pretty much everything

edit: would've been interesting if you could've gotten a picture of him with the earbuds/record him saying he had them

He will probably sell them, at my school if you have a lock on something and people steal it or find it you'll probably get it back smashed, and if you don't have a lock, good luck getting that stuff back.

If you aren't a straight white atheist, then go to the administrators and claim that it was taken as a hate crime and you'll sue the school for not taking proper action to resolve the matter. Works best if you're a religious minority though.
