It's funny how many people in America are for this kind of stuff, but then condemn countries like Saudi for the same thing. lmao

Arent Death Sentences more expensive than Life in Prison or am I misinformed?
i think it differs from place to place but im pretty sure in california they are

We're not loving France during the revolution. Executions are not entertainment. I think its only proper for people to face their punishments alone instead of heaping on humiliation.

Life in prison is p much torture so

I'm not complaining about the death sentence, but OP saying that he should be tortured is forgeted up. He's already going to be killed.

It would entertain me to see that sick bastard be killed

op is not known to be mature

assigning death sentences are bad for mass killers

they expect to be caught and they're usually at the end of their life so they don't have much to lose - killing them in a sense gives them what they want

this madman should of been tortured and THEN given the death sentence
The only way to describe this is forgeted up. You are just as bad as him if you take joy in the suffering and death of another human.

He was a pawn played by his older brother. He was extremely young and believed eternal glory would await him in heaven. He only killed 2-3 people, which isn't enough to be executed in a usual court. He is being executed because of the fear and the injuries, which people can recover from. The only unforgivable thing is the deaths.

The death penalty is also EXTREMELY expensive. Many times more than life in prison.

He should be given life in prison without bail.
haha yeah let's just spend thousands of tax dollars giving this guy rooming and food throughout the rest of his prison life

You're making it sound like a vacation lol
Prison would be essentially living hell, especially for a terroist.

I recall people in France wanting the death penalty back, shows how far when they feel threatened.

The money we spend on housing these criminals is huge that our prisons are over populated that we building more prisons just to house them. It's gotten so bad that we are now using county jails to house the over flow.

It has gotten to the point where non violent offenders like thieves don't even get prison time. Just a slap on the wrist and some probation. Probabtion isn't going to change a man and our correctional system doesn't correct. So these guys get out of prison and just do the things that put them in the first place. With the three strikes law these petty criminals get life sentences.

You can throw all the money you want into executions and housing people for life, but we need to look into ways just to reform the criminals. However I think the primary objective should be to attack the root cause of a lot of these crimes. Why are people shop lifting, why are these kids joining gangs, why are kids doing poorly in schools? I think the root cause is poverty which has lead to other problems in our society.

I checked CNN's site and it just has this huge title for the Tsarnaev death sentence article.

I wonder why I still go to the CNN site in the first place.
