I honestly don't really know where to put this. I know I could've put this in the drama board, but in all likelihood I probably would've gotten banned. Who knows, maybe I'll get banned for putting it here anyways. Either way, I do not care for the drama board. Every day there's some new alt/troll/cancerous little stuff and people feel the need to gripe about them.
While the drama board is a way to contain all of this stuff from the rest of the forums, I sincerely think that it is contradictory to any progress toward solving problems. The best way to get a troll to quit is to ignore them entirely. The drama board gives such attention-whores the attention they crave. They WANT you to complain about them so they can be an starfish and have justification for it. I don't know what the case is with their constant hunger for attention, but I believe that the drama board is stupid all in itself. If Badspot was willing to get some more mods for the forums and have people to deal with problems related to people in blockland, it'd solve the problem much more effectively. Send a complaint form to said moderators, and you spare the forums 1 less stuffstorm. I feel like it would be a nicer place without the drama board.
It'd be nice if people could expose these people more discreetly rather than have an entire thread devoted to political mudslinging. I don't know if the drama board was intended to be a day-care for the forums so that the admins could do forget-all and not have to deal with problem users, or if it is for venting. Either way I think that the drama board was a bad idea and that the forum would be a much nicer place without it (this is assuming that there was a forum mod-staff to get rid of these problems.)
