Author Topic: I need a new anti virus program  (Read 2079 times)

Why bother closing it? Its not even a resource hog. Also that's there to avoid a virus taking it down.
what about that "better price found!" stuff that comes with it

You know Norton can be very in-you-face and annoying but in past it has saved me from some grave situations

Including a virus that sends all my Facebook friends research
Blocking intrusion attempts from a guy in Zimbabwe (as I was hosting a server on a version of wamp that had an exploit with environment variable or some stuff)
That false puush malware update

This is like the only free Internet Security I know of. Has a firewall and antivirus and everything.
You probably want to uninstall its crappy GeekBuddy support thing however.

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes together was always enough for me.

I've used Webroot and I have Malwarbytes combined with windows defendwr. I'd recommend both

ESET Smart Security 8. Haven't had a virus in years.
