Why does the last thread in the RTB listings have so many veiws?

Author Topic: Why does the last thread in the RTB listings have so many veiws?  (Read 698 times)

It appears in the old RTB board, the last thread in there has an unusual amount of views to it.

None of the other topics on the first page even push 10k views. Why does that topic have over 300k views to it?

Looking at the who's online board it seems that most of the random guests we get floating in land on that topic and dont leave it. Why? Is there something hidden there or are the bots just flocking to the same topic for no reason?

That is very odd. I would imagine it to be because it's the last topic in that board, but there's no reason it should have over 340 thousand views

probably because people click here?

probably because people click here?

People who are guests, on a board in the archive, to a topic that's addon is no longer accessible?
Yeah...

No but really. Check the "who's on" board. Quite a few of the random guest users are fixated on that topic.

Edit: It seems that at the moment most of the guests are looking at this topic now.

Same thing with the other boards in the section.
probably because people click here?

guests are weird

It's probably bots looking at the topmost thread

It's probably crawlers starting at the front page and since that topic is always linked there, they'll open it too.

Same goes for Mapping Help and Maps. The last topic in the "locked" boards always has several hundred thousand views.
It's just one of the links on the front page, that's all. All the web crawlers flock to it.
