I need a screen capture tool that wont absolutely murder my FPS.
Free or not, I'm desperate.
I don't have a GPU, but I have 4 cores. Anything that can utilize one of the cores that are doing the least work?

OBS has done me fine so far

I don't use most of the features in OBS. I need something simple.

I'm not saying OBS is useless, it's just too advanced for me because I'm stupid.

If you need help on using OBS, look up a tutorial on the basics.

Then just use the basic features of OBS!

I'd try OBS Multiplatform is OBS is too hard for you.

Don't you need a GPU for afterburner?

He was comparing it to OBS, not recommending it.

The thing with OBS is I have to play with the codecs to find out which one best fits my computer

Try Afterburner. It's the best I've ever used if you don't want to kill your FPS. It's more than just a screen recorder, so it's not the most intuitive, but it's worth it.

Yeah, I'm sure he'd like to pay over 50 bucks just to capture his screen...
