Author Topic: i got some baffling PC/game optimization issues  (Read 902 times)

so i recently got Cities: Skylines, and quickly realized i got pretty poor framerate. this pushed me to look into what was going on with my PC, since it has good specs (enough to meed the recc. specs for GTA V) but runs stuff on pretty much any game that isn't a Source/Valve game

+ Nvidia GeForce GT 610 is the graphics card

i don't know stuff about computer tech, so is optimization a thing you can fix? i used the nvidia optimizer to lower my settings but the weird thing is that it said my PC didn't meet the minimum specs on most of my games?

ive asked 2 people and they can't figure it out. anyone else know?

The recommended specs is a GTX 660, not a GT. the GT series is made for light gaming, though you could probably run GTA5 on medium-high settings at 60fps

is there option sin the game to lower your render distance?

update your drivers
lower your settings
get a new graphics card

hate to break it to you but the GT 610 is outdated
(i'm not saying my GT 705 is any better)

Replace your card. The GT 610 is outdated, as Blocky said.

The GT 610 is not only 3 years old it's a rebranded GT 520 which is 4 years old.

oh wow, i was told it was good
aight ill make sure to do that
thnx guys
