US Challenging China In South China Sea (VIDEO)

With China asserting it's claims over the South China Sea, it has begun building man-made islands to forward deploy fighters and other military assets to back those claims. These claims have angered US allies such as the Philippians and Japan as some of the areas which China claims is within their EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone), in compliance with UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) this is their exclusive zone for exploiting natural resources such as drilling and fishing.

Anyways the US does not recolonize these claims and has started challenging them by deploying B-1B Bombers and P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft. HEre is some pictures of the islands taken from the video and other satellite photos.

Edit: China warned the US plane to leave the area but it refused and continued on it's path.

They will probably continue these air patrols over the islands using P-8's or even strategic bombers. Last year they declared an ADIZ (Air Defense Identification Zone) over the East China Sea and the US flew two B-52's through it the next day.

We are also sending in warships such as an LCS (Piece of garbage) and Destroyers to patrol in the area. I also wouldn't be too surprised if we are patrolling the area with submarines.
