Author Topic: made the FP of Imgur again (twice)  (Read 1051 times)

There was a topic not that long ago about someone's experienc with posting to the Imgur gallery and how they kept getting downvoted. You just gotta learn what they like.

In the past 3 weeks, I've made it to the front page 4 times. I have two on the FP at the time of writing this.

My successful posts:
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/KLEqbwy
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/Ilxy0dc
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/BX78Fos
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/27wlcIZ

When posting, do either around 8-9 in the morning or around lunch time. Also don't post something that isn't going to make sense to most people. Imgur likes cats. Use this to your advantage. Things that have been posted before/recently tend to not make the FP, cause they want to see original stuff.

None of my FP posts are things I'd seen before on Imgur.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my success and give a few typos idk

why do you care about the useless comments on an image host?

it's nice to feel appreciated sometimes
it's nice to feel like you've been successful, to know that you've made some random person on the internet laugh

yes

Edit: it's also great knowing I've done what likely the majority of Imgur users are trying to achieve and have thus far failed.

Imgur is amazing, well done

Congratulations, front page is no easy feat.

I legitimately laughed at this

because its so goddamn true
upvote for you sir

I'm envious. I've gotten like 200 points on an image once and that was an accomplishment.

I don't get it. Where's the accomplishment in re-uploading someone else's content/tumblr posts?

why do you care about the useless comments on an image host?
why do you care about him being proud of something he did even if it's a tiny accomplishment (even if to him it is not, congratulations)

I used to browse imgur, but I eventually decided that the majority of people there have no upbuilding influence on me and I quit cold turkey.
