Because they're taller than you, and it's rude to stare at your feet.
I think my hero is probably Destroyer.
He's calm, collected, insightful and smart as well as funny. He's also just really really interesting. And maybe it's very cliche to say so, but he's an EMT/firefighter, so in many ways he fits the literal definition of hero.
If there's anyone here I have any sort of crush on it's Destroyer.
I say it in every one of these sorts of threads, but Headcrab Zombie and SeventhSandwich are also heroes of mine.
They're both also funny, witty, calm and smart.
But they both are also very passionate about the sciences and debate, and I could read their posts on science topics for days.
And, while I might throw a lot of words at a page with a semblance of sense, some general knowledge, and my musings on a topic, these two come in armed to the teeth with sources from credible peer-reviewed journals and articles, which you know they've spent time reading. They know their stuff, they're happy to prove it, and share it.
And also, they both know they're not infallible. That's an admirable quality, to know and accept when you're wrong and learn from it.
