So i posted in the "Can i run this" thread on the ARK: Survival Evolved steam page, and got this:

(I am blockomaniac, obviously)

Does this person know what they are talking about? I trust you guys more than some random steam poster for better or worse :^)

960 is better then the 670 lol

Brb building a birthday for my gaming computer...

Got another one:

This guy seems to know more about what he is talking about than the previous one, what do you guys think

you do that

"not enough bandwidth or bus speed"
thats handicapped. any card can use all the mem they come with. its really only limited by what the game allows.

plus the downgrade to 2gb-ancient mem amount is a difference of like 40 bucks. not even worth it.

and everyone knows... the hardest part of pc building is plugging in those loving power switches properly.

QFT, some lights still don't act normally.

^was the only thing I had to look in my motherboard manual for when building lol.

just look in the manual for where pins go
i dont like using the adapters that are supposed to make it easier the pins slide out of it sometimes

this

and your mobo will most likely have text on it telling you what the connector is

Sooo i guess bisjac's wins then, unless anyone has anything else they would like to propose?

-nvm didnt read op my bad-

Less than $600 after rebates, still under budget without 'em. If I were you, though, I'd replace the HDD with a 250GB Crucial BX100; an SSD makes a whole world of difference and you can always add more storage later.
replace that locked i5 with an unlocked i5 (4690k i think) and you got yourself a damn good rig there.
forget I DOUBLE POSTED SORRY

That's an extra $50 though, not to mention the $80 more you need for a decent Z97 motherboard.
