Author Topic: Zombie Survival RP (RELEASE DATE CANCELED DUE TO IRL stuff)  (Read 3301 times)

So basically, I'm working on this again. Real life things came up and progress went down. Topic is too old to bump, so here is some actual progression.

In this image, you're looking at the main part of the map. This will be the biggest and most important area, and I'm estimating it to have around ~70k bricks when it's finished, terrain-wise.

I will update when I make progress. Until then!

is this going to be like winter bite with the area transports and all that?
if not, cool
if so, please no, i don't know what it is about those kind of transport types but it's just so off-putting

I'll be messing with it, but if it isn't as subtle as I want it to be, then I'm probably going to have the whole build be connected without teleports.

you think that but they are more useful than you think

Its improves your frame rate because of the bricks in render distance

Sorry oblivion, but area transports are just way more useful when it comes to distributing the ghosting amount.

I'll try to make the teleporting as subtle as possible

i don't have any pictures but, you would go into an area with a gas station and road with some landscape, and to move to different areas you would have to transport via setplayertransform to go anywhere else
i don't understand what it is with that but it's just so strange to me, the only reason to do it is to keep framerates from going below 0 but i remember someone did it just to have it, there was only 50k bricks or so

as long as you don't have to do it to go from the grocery store to the road i'm ok with it, not like i'm the only one that's gonna be playing anyways

Most teleports will be between major areas that have more than 20k bricks each, or between certain kinds of interiors like the sewers or whatnot

I'm hosting a server right now if any of you people wanna check out the build being built!

woops ignore i thought there was only 1 reply to this topic

This looks so epic, are you going for a DayZ kind of feel?

I might use some gameplay tropes akin to DayZ, but this is going to be more of a roleplay/survival hybrid.

I will probably migrate this topic to general discussion soon because the server's opening is probably going to be in the weeks to come, and give a character template for information purposes.

Town planning and expanding is nearly done, progress pictures of the main area will halt for now to not spoil any plot elements.

From here on, areas will expand into the forest area, the lakeside area, the river waterfall area, the tunnel system and the shoreside highway access.
