The Vigilante groups seemingly have the situation with the looting & stuff under control. Scavengers are sent out to other parts of the state to find resources. Some people trade with some of the prepers in their bug-out locations.

Actually I can't stay in this often enough, so disregard my town post.

especially since you practically have the most people, hence rioters, you shouldn't magically have everything under control iirc

Auglaize is asked to become "mutual sharing" partners, trading resources and such.

Following another volley of nuclear armaments and riots elsewhere, the flow of power in Laclede and the surrounding counties goes off.

The rioting in all towns cools off with the initial hype and flood of refugees.  Gasconade's northern region is still embroiled in armed violence from feuding farming families which have used the chaos to attack each other.  Eldridge's police force experienced heavy casualties as it found itself spread too thin to accomplish its goals.  Smith is still dealing with limited trouble from people passing through.  Spring Hollow fared rather well.

The worst of the damage is in Lebanon where local police were completely overwhelmed.  Armed gangs still roam the streets looting and raping when not engaged in firefights with national guard and state defense force reinforcements (about 750 all told who came in by Route 5).  The government is discouraging all nonessential travel in all nonradioactive counties, including Laclede, as it attempts to reassert control.

A combination of military veterans from multiple wars as far back as WW II, and preppers have formed a local militia and essentially taken over Franklin from the democratically elected mayor.  A mandatory curfew has been established and violators, looters, thieves, and troublemakers are being beaten and thrown out of town into the surrounding areas.  Locals seem to have mixed feelings about all of this.

Auglaize, being on the other side of Lebanon, replies that there is little that it can do to help.  Thought you were Washington; my bad.
Auglaize's mayor declines Eldridge's offer; when the riots hit his town, he was able to clear them without much violence, which has made him extremely popular with the people, and he views having close ties with Eldridge, which has a violently different approach, as politically dangerous.

Smith's police force, seeing its continued difficulty in maintaining law and order following the dismissal of the temporary deputies after the worst of the riots ended, the deputies are called upon to continue their service.  Armed neighborhood watch groups led by capable men are organized for the more populated areas to maintain order, and attempts are made to keep farmers farther out in the loop.

Any word on the results of Osage's programs and functions?

Most Vigilante groups try to make peace in the northern regions of Gasconade. Gasconade welcomes refugees with open arms, giving them food and shelters.

Eldridge creates a volunteer police force to fill in for the deaths. Eldridge says that the rioters and looters were a heavy danger to Eldridgers and they were told to stop rioting/looting before action was taken.

Safe zones are expanded to calmer neighborhoods and they begin to reconstruct "important centers" with the materials given.
Town hall and the hospital are relatively okay, and the hospital is receiving primary energy. The solar panels on the roof of the hospital continue to recharge the batteries, albeit at a negative growth, marking the mayor to call upon all citizens to stop using non-essential equipment and will tax (in food and other valuable materials)+cut off power to the residence of (once deemed guilty) those who waste "public electricity".
Larger businesses such as water works and private power companies are liquidated into "Eldridge Water and Electric" under the council, giving more control over energy rationing.

Franklin's mayor and many of his supporters have had their property seized and been exiled to Osage following a failed effort to reclaim power.  Many more chose to desert the mayor and join the "militia", including most of the police force.

Raiders from Stoutland pass through Mayfield, killing and looting before passing into Liberty and back to their den.

Osage's programs seem to be working well enough.  As people begin to settle into the groove of things, they are able to maintain decent security except for the odd incident.

Auglaize's mayor still sees it as a dangerous political move and does nothing.

Adding vigilante groups into the mix, rather than making peace, has actually made things worse, as different vigilante leaders have taken opposing sides, and some have left these groups and become a part of the feud.  Many of hose actually trying to make a neutral peace have been forced to return to Gasconade's southern areas.

Smith is still encountering trouble from Route 44.  If Osage will help in a mission to go into Liberty or Waynesville and blow a bridge or something, Smith's people will be more willing to support the mayor if he should open ties up with Osage.

The mayor and the vigilante groups try again to make peace in the northern areas. Police are asked to come into Gasconade to probably get all of this under control.
