Just thought of this, figured why not.
Post the random stuff in life you don't understand. No, you can't post a picture of your calculus homework.

Why are Russian spacemen called Cosmonauts, but American spacemen called Astronauts? Other than nationality, what's the difference (other than the rockets and controls they use)?

Astro -> Astronomy -> The scientific study of matter in outer space
Cosmo -> Cosmic -> Of or relating to the regions of the universe distinct from the Earth.

They're basically two different terms that mean the same thing
