I've also been thinking of putting in a small little civics system in which players can put into effect tax reforms or military recruitment acts every few years to give themselves a temporary boost (it would function like the ribbon system). in addition, it may also be used to discuss treaties and agreements between nations in regards to rented military aid, purchase of land, and acquisition of new colonies/protectorates

and make em blue to differentiate between ribbons and civics. for example:
Tax Reform
Military Conscription Act
Stamp Act
Education Reform
Manila Ordinance of 1933
Treaty of Changsha

It could also be used for things like US gov't shutdowns (both deadline and disaster), I'd imagine.

would you guys rather do a crusades rp, colonization of the new world rp, or reconstruction rp (players control politicians/states instead of countries)?

when would the colonization rp begin, because it would be pretty Iberian centric at the beginning
besides,what would you do besides fight natives and set up viceroys. colonial wars were stuff I guess but they were either localized conflicts of part or a larger european war
