It was a fun movie, certainly enjoyable.
Wasn't the greatest film ever, but I didn't expect it to be. Was a little slow to start, but they really wanted to show off the working park, which was kind of novel as we never saw it in action in Jurassic Park, and it wasn't in 2/3.
The CGI was alright, not too bad, but sadly missing the Dino-puppetry which was in the first film, which really does make a difference. Especially as special effects makeup and the likes should be capable of making really great models today.
Plotwise the story fell a little bit short, but at least it wasn't "let's take the T-Rex to San Diego!" dumb.
Acting wasn't too bad either, even with two of the main cast being child actors.
There was also ample comic relief, but not enough to distract from the general theme of the film.
I'm honestly not surprised that it was such a commercial success.
I'm wary on it sparking interest in creating another film however. It would make zero sense for a sequel to take place in a working resort again, and it would basically be a rehash of JP2/3 if it was just on the abandoned island. And at the same time, I don't want to see Dinosaurs rampaging through a city.
