Author Topic: How do you create nodes on items with Milkshape? (x-post)  (Read 1180 times)

H3

I've been stuck on this one problem for a couple days now, I can't colorshift items that I create (not talking about weapon images). Someone tells me that it's possible and I'm determined to achieve it. I'm going on a camping trip today, and I'll be gone for 4 days (hopefully I don't die). I think the transparent textured item I made doesn't have nodes, that's why it won't recolor when I setNodeColor("ALL", "1 0 0 1"); it. In the mean time when I'm gone, can someone post a solution to making nodes in Milkshape? I'll try to keep updated by viewing the post with my phone when I can. Thanks again for reading!

Don't know much about nodes. I can confirm that colorshift doesn't actually work most of the time for ms3d exported models with default settings. I've never been able to get colorshift to work

Okay thanks, I'll try blender when I get back home.

Nodes are simply each 'thing' that is exported in a DTS file. So, each individual object and armature/joint/bone is a node. If you have no nodes, you have no object.

Ahh, I see. I'll try adding joints to my objects.

Nononono

to do stuff
%object.hideNode("Box01");

Make sure not to have the numbers at the end, that is the LOD. Make sure it is ALWAYS 0 for it to show up in blockland.
