I'd continue saving until I could get something at least decent

Prebuilt or have to build?
Because if it's prebuilt, there's not really any modern ones for $300

some old think pad or something

For 300 you're really not going to get much more than an internet browser/microsoft office machine
So I'd just go with a android or microsoft tablet which are even cheaper than 300

This is my PC right now

That's nearly 2k lol

1000 now?

This is my current build
The video card isn't available so it has no cost added

My computer already costs a lot more than that and I could buy another now if I wanted to.

That's your current build and you chose to do air cooling.

You should of gone water cooling.

I started with a $300 Build, but so far I have invested at least more than $1000 in stuff I have upgraded over the years.

I started with something mid range and then made my way up to more powerful parts.
