Nothing says man like an early grave.    (To not mislead you, I love being a carnivore.

And that's being an idiot. It's not an animal. It's food. Not to mention just how incredibly silly and misguided it is to put livestock above yourself.
If eating meat makes you feel bad and those negative emotions outweigh the pleasure of eating meat, not eating meat is the logical decision. I completely agree that Zealot is being silly, but can you not be a friend to people that aren't bothering anyone?
*At this point I'm obviously referring to vegetarians that are bothered by the idea of eating meat but don't necessarily consider it morally wrong

Why would you feel bad about it other than being an idiot?

I will live a long time, to a ripe old age of 93 while zealot's soul is stolen in his vegan starbucks meeting by his vegan cult ringleader

Assuming the world doesn't get forgeted by depleting everything.

greed is a hell of a thing.

Why would you feel bad about it other than being an idiot?
by holding a different opinion on the value of animal life as an example

not sure that qualifies as being an idiot?

pageloss i guess even though it's not a master debate piece
there's nothing inherently wrong with having no moral problems eating meat
there's nothing inherently wrong with having moral problems eating meat

they're two perfectly valid perspectives and to ever assert personal viewpoints as objectively true isn't really fair to p much the majority of people in the world who don't think the same way

not sure that qualifies as being an idiot?
he's gonna say it does

by holding a different opinion on the value of animal life as an example

I don't really see the value in treating animals like anything other than animals. Animals with delicious, succulent meat.

I don't really see the value in treating animals like anything other than animals.
i mean i hold the typical opinion that animal life has significantly less inherent value in relation to human life, but that does still go off the assumption that animals are objectively and indisputably less valuable. if someone thinks animals deserve the same respect (or at the very least, a more similar amount) as humans, so be it. i don't see why that would be any more or less right

I'd like to partially go back on the moral superiority statement. I don't consider a person inherently better than another because they do or don't eat meat. However I do believe it morally better not to eat meat. Eating meat doesn't make you a bad person but not eating meat makes you a slightly better person in my opinion. That's hardly a controversial statement, but saying "I AM MORALLY SUPERIOR" is a rather blunt way of putting it.
