Author Topic: My cat is dying  (Read 1593 times)

I've got nobody else to talk about it with, so I figured the closest thing would be to start a discussion here.
We discovered a tumor near his heart a few weeks ago. My mother is a vet, but we never noticed any symptoms until he started breathing hard. We tried surgery, but it just left him in pain and with a nasty stapled scar along his belly. Rather than let him suffer any more, my mother decided it was best we euthanize him. I've got an hour left with him.
So yeah. Blogland.

my condolences toward you and the feline

losing a pet suddenly or from disease is always the worst

Hope it goes well for you. Losing a kitty is hard.

Have any pics?

stuff, dude.
at least he won't feel any more pain

My condolences to him.

Have any pics?
I'd rather not have any more mementos of today, especially given his current condition. Normally, he's short-haired and brown-light peach striped. I don't know his breed, but his coat was very smooth and pretty. However, right now his lower half is shaved to the skin and he has huge cuts and staples underneath him where they tried to remove the tumor.

Aw man, Sorry dude

This reminds me of when I lost my 2 dogs to a disease

Well, the deed is done. I'm in the lobby of the clinic.
At least he won't feel any more pain. Sorry if this was an unusual topic, I had no other friends there to talk with.

My condolences.  Cats are great, and it's just sad to see them go.
