Author Topic: Warble's 4wd Tercel Project (its back)  (Read 3291 times)

I let this project go cold a few months ago, but I never stopped wanting to do it, the model as I left it is probably 85% done, just needs a completed dashboard, wheels glass, and the liscense plate holder, the only problem is I had a mirror tool applied so the dashboard would have two steering wheels and the liscense plate holder would be mirrored across as would the "TOYOTA 4WD" logo that goes on the grill

if I take off the tool then half the model disappears

also I just need someone to guide me along the process of texturing and exporting then maybe I could take a script from another car

if someone wants to help just tell me, here are pics of the actual model so far

why what?

ive seen people post on this board with a lot less done than I have

I've decided to start over, the model I made before is a mess, and fixing it would take more work than starting over and doing it right the first time

btw im leaving for vacation today, not much progress at all for next two weeks :C

ill try to post at least one pic of the new model before I go

no i wasnt saying that, the model is great

but why that goofy vehicle? :P

About the blurred license plate: Anybody with Photoshop can untwist those blurs (given the right brush size) to reveal the plate numbers. If the image is yours, you should probably make it harder..

Assuming warble didn't lie about his location that isn't his car. He apparently lives in Michigan and that is clearly a New York plate.

that isn't my car, I want one though, they get 42 mpg highway and you still get four doors and the wagon cargo space they also have the coolest interior ever

and they have an on the fly 2wd/4wd shifter as well as a 5 speed manual with a low ratio sixth gear for getting you out of snow/mud
and an onboard inclinometer

also ill edit in the progress pics in a second

ill just make a second post, here is the new model, ive picked up some new tricks and the pictures really show it I think

now the reason I made that bum topic is because I was using loop cuts to make my grille extrusions and It caused this, is this ok?

There is no way this loving junker gets 42 miles to the gallon, still a nice model and car though

still, is there a way to clean up my hood so it doesn't look like that?

You should think about separating components from the body. In your case, you should select the grille and press "P" to make it a separate object. Afterwards you can clean up the hood of your car.
