Author Topic: Yesterday was awful  (Read 481 times)

On Sunday I had helped with jacking up a trailer to put the axles and wheels on it, we had to have the trailer ready to move by the end of this week so we had no time to lose. It took 9 hours to do so because bricks kept breaking, we had to constantly resupport the jacks, and the home supports had to be moved or else the entire home will slide straight off its foundation.

Yesterday I really felt the soreness from it, especially in my back. I was hardly able to walk, however I had to be at the hospital to show the nurses that I'd be capable of helping take care of my grandpa (the one who had a stroke, he's doing fine but has a few issues) during the training I got extremely sick, I had to quickly sit down. The nurses said my blood pressure dropped too low from where I was working too hard without eating and from taking my pain killers without food. After all that the sickness randomly picked back up at home making for a very un-fun night. Luckily I'm no longer sick and am able to move decently again.
Sorry if this is choppy-typed, its very early

glad to hear you got better

Thanks, all I really needed was some food and to rest. Surprisingly my body actually accepted food.
I made sure to eat this morning because I'm going back up to the hospital, were taking my grandpa home today. He's been in the hospital since June the 6th/7th

Man that's terrible! I'm sorry.

I've recently been feeling kind of depressed over an issue that has recently come up but I don't have the courage to tell people about it. I also fell down the basement stairs last night while carrying a laundry basket full of clothes. Now my already screwed up back is stiff and painful and I have to ride/drive for 6-7 hours today. Seems like I'm hexed too.

On the bright side, I should be getting my first car today, so that's a plus.

Man, that sounds like it'll be a pain, I know that back problems are hell. Yesterday I had to walk with a cane supporting me because I was unable to use my right leg worth a damn. My back injury is causing the sciatic nerve to be compressed, blocking some of its signal.

Look on the bright side, as long as your day doesn't get any worse you should be just fine. Before school ended a substitute teacher had taught my class to never let one thing get you down, just think to yourself "if this is the worse thing to happen today I'll be just fine"

You should maybe look into surgery or something and then go to physical therapy and do a lot of core strengthening exercises. Thats what helped me at least

And yea eat food when you take your medication. I've had strep for the 3rd time this year and was prescribed penicillin and it would make me feel extremely sick if I didn't have food with it. I was prescribed 40 pills over 10 days and it was making me feel so sick I just stopped taking them Oops  :cookieMonster:

I was suppose to do physical therapy but my schedule was so full I was skipping lunch and hardly sleeping. (Thanks school)
As soon as school ended what did my insurance company do? Dropped me because 'time was up' and we had to reinstate it. I'm thinking of just telling the doctor to cut the bulging part of the disk out so we can get it done with. I just want to walk again.

And geez, thats a lot of pills. All I take is 1-4 pain killers a day + a single muscle relaxer at night to carry me through.
