Plasma TVs are typically quite a bit heavier, often thicker, use more energy, and produce a lot more heat. I live in Canada and it's pretty hard to find a decent plasma these days, doesn't seem like any manufacturers are making any new ones and I rarely even see a 1080p one these days, they are almost all 720p.

We have a 1080p plasma smart TV. I can't use it for gaming though because of the huge loving input lag which is upwards of 150 to 200ms, it's absolutely ridiculous.

they're lighter than they used to be. our first plasma screen was so heavy that my parents could barely mount it on the wall. once that one died we got a samsung one and that one was a piece of cake for them to lift.
