I feel bad when the grunts in halo get scared and run away but after i spare them they come back and start shooting me .....
this and the skyrim ai (when they fall down and beg for mercy, but when they get up like 5 seconds later they attack you) are really aggravating for me. if i want to spare an enemy i should be allowed to

i kinda feel bad when I kill a monster in monster hunter, because the guys are just trying to defend themselves and can live without some starfish with an oversized sword.

but those qualms are immediately dispelled when I make hats out of the monster's spoils :J

A couple times in one of the Assassin's Creed games

After I played JC2 I have not cared.

Ill get out an MP5K and shoot the civilian's faces sometimes just to cause heat.

I cant kill dogs in games. It takes a large chunk of my soul when i kill a dog..

Usually this, unless it's hotline miami

I hate it when my followers die in fallout, because I had my evil save on FNV where gannon died inside the little metal place that i needed to blow up for the legion

I should have made him follow me :(

same goes for fallout enemies

The closest you can get to sparing enemies in games is arresting them as cops, or knocking them out

at least the enemies in fallout dont fall down and scream "I GIVE UP" and attack you a few seconds after

Often. Whenever I kill a humanoid character in Borderlands 2, I feel guilt because I'm a softie that has too much feels.

well you could always beat them into submission, cast calm, and then run away

i guess i could do that, but i'd really much more prefer for them to flee or something, or even just stay down
it just seems kinda silly to me that the devs would record all those lines ("Mercy!") and then not let me give them mercy in any way except for magically calming them which i could have done from the beginning

Accidentally killing animals :(

I can't stand killing anything I don't need to kill.
Kerbals, for example. I build up stories around the little bastards.

Some raiders drop their weapons, show their hands and say "I give!" "I was just messin' with ya!"

and then pick it up and shoot you as soon as you look away
