There was a huge black wasp in my room the other day and I'm still recovering
A wasp got in my house over a year ago. Previously, I would just go shut myself in a secluded room and let my parents deal with them, but when this one got in, they weren't home plus my little sisters were in the house. My oldest sister was in the shower and the younger ones I just closed in my parents' bedroom. The wasp was a black paper wasp; those little things completely swarm all over my house during the warm months. I saw it hovering around in the hallway knocking it's body against the light. Every few seconds or so, it would land and walk around on the ceiling.
I grabbed a flyswatter as I tried to make a mental plan of how I was going to handle this situation. I'm a short person - so short in fact that I could just barely reach the hallway ceiling even with my arm and flyswatter fully extended. I didn't want to swing at it while it was high up in case it would get blown onto me plus making it angry. I took maybe five minutes just trying to force myself within 10 feet of it. I stood with legs bent with a fight or flight state of mind depending on how things would unfold. Once I had some composure and the insect flew lower, I dashed in there with the flyswatter and just started beating the crap out of it hoping it would die. I knocked it to the carpet and just kept pummeling it like 20 times but it continued to crawl around beating its wings. I think I managed to somewhat incapacitate it, so I laid the end of the swatter next to it and let it crawl onto it. I then walked it into the bathroom, shook it off into the toilet, and finished it.
I wanted applause and I still think I deserve it.
