why is Starbound so bad?

Very unfinished, been out for a while, no replayability, only good for good occasional laughs with friends

...I...can't argue this.

Doesn't mean I hate it...it's just...I guess I like the concepts and such...

I'd say you suck, but progress in Borderlands 1 can be...really stuffty unless you know what you are doing.  Even so, it can go on for a while.

Once you get a Hellfire you murder everything although.  It is one of the most powerful guns in the game, hands down.

Some of them don't have crit points on their face.

I get the reference tho, pretty sure he was talking about the first game.

Starbound has loads of cool concepts, it's just that none of them are fun. The hub world is super cool in theory, but in practice you only ever needed to talk to one dude and do a lame fetch-quest. Infinite planets and therefore infinite worlds could have been cool, but there was often very little reason to go to any of them once you got to the next tier. Traveling with ships sounds really cool and really fun, but unfortunately it all boiled down to "dig fuel -> dig more fuel". The fatal flaw in the game, IMO, is that it focused too hard on getting the player to go the next "level" without giving the player a reason to stay and enjoy the current level. You spend the whole game going forward, and when you reach the end of the rope you'll feel unsatisfied and frustrated.

If they had only managed to make it complete, it would be an amazing game. The concept is so fantastic and beautiful. I really wouldn't consider it a "worst game of all time" given its potential and the fact that it's fun anyway, just for a shorter time.
