I dont get why people like spiderman so much. Is it because of the comics? I've never read any comics so all I've seen are movies- and every spiderman movie I've ever seen's been pretty awful.

none of the spiderman movies have really captured the character of spiderman perfectly

if you want to read spiderman i would recommend the ultimate series, but stay away from the newer spiderman comics and the dan slott stuff. basically everything before back in black/one more day

the single Spiderverse comic I have is pretty decent

I would buy Ultimate Spiderman with Miles Morales but comics aren't accessible to me for the most part.
