What would happen is that the bubbles would pool in major arteries and block blood flow entirely. It's called an air embolism and it will forget your stuff up.

Considering that carbonated water contains H₂CO₄ and CO₂ travels as H₂CO₄ through your bloodstream, theoretically, nothing should happen. Then again, the undigested bullstuff of the liquid would kill you. Coke, for example.
