Just a bit of advice from personal experience: do not forget to eat.
Just.. this, please.

Diet actually could be a factor. Over the past year I had dropped almost 1/6 of my body weight and I was already underweight to begin with. I've managed to put 10 pounds back on, but my diet is still pretty laughable.

hey man, get that taken care of. you put crap in, you get crap out, and not the usual kind.

Stress is acceptable when you gain more responsibility or things actually get harder to maintain in life.

Pussies get stressed out because of just change that they have to learn a new way to cope with something. Because thats just called life.

Go outside and get some sun, that always helps me cheer up.

You're religious, ja? You should pray and think about the good things in life. Focus on those happy things. Focus on the good things about leaving school, getting a new job (being an independent person!), and paying for your own things.

But I also think it is about thinking that you just don't feel young anymore, but dude, you are young if you think 'bout it, yo.

I already know that you storm chase as a cool hobby, but you should set some goals and do some chill activities to get some of that body weight back (and to get some sun, haha). Probably save up some money, join a gym, and consult a physical trainer. They'll (hopefully) do all the number crunching and give you a sense of what your workouts should be like and what you should eat.

Depression isn't a thing to ignore, and it sucks balls. But you must find the source of the problem and meddle with that. Like Bisjac said, it's probably just the stress of gaining more responsibility and moving out of the bird's nest, y'know?

You don't even know what it like to be my brother right now.
Survived a car fatal car crash
Recovered 100%
Broke up with 3 girlfriends, trying to get another
Went through heart palpitations
Lost his grandfathers due to cancer/sicknesses
Etc.

Never compare depressions. NEVER.

They all become different due to sources of the depression.
Kinda saying that 'he's got it better' or 'he's got it worse'.

It's mostly about things getting harder to maintain.

You play sports?

No, but I wish I could play baseball.

Thanks this is very helpful. I think my mom has told me to do all of the above more than once and I don't disagree with it, but I usually either forget, get lazy, or in the case of exercise, I feel embarrassed. Don't know why, it does sound weird though. On the case of eating, my mom has been on my back about eating properly (more so in sufficient amounts over healthy content), but I just don't seem to stay hungry for very long on some occasions. One meal and I'll be eating like a bottomless pit, next meal and I just don't want to see food.

Yeah I agree. It doesn't bother me about what he said, because my problems are insignificant and I'm never depressed around the clock. However, it really isn't a good idea to make comparisons for future reference.

If you wanna play baseball, join a community league. But doing something like that will help. You'll make friends that share common interests, and you'll be able to work out regularly and feel great.

Like derontchi said, get involved. It's a lot better to be doing an activity you'll enjoy rather than sulking through it and thinking over it too much. You'll get through it :)

I've been through some stuff, if you ever want to talk just shoot me a pm, I can share some anecdotes that I think would help.

yeah, you should probably do the eating thing
pretty much since college started for me last fall I lost my sense of hunger and only realize I should eat once I get lightheaded or have a headache

mostly i'd recommend people of some kind, ie baseball and then go out and get pizza with the group or something

Problem is that I live in a pretty rural area, so even if I could get involved with a team somewhere, I'd have to go pretty far for it. I don't know though, there might be church baseball leagues somewhere that I haven't heard about.
