g4 has a good camera and is built pretty well with some decent software
gs6 has a good camera too and is kinda fragile
really those are the only two phones that are out right now that are worth getting, the htc one m9 has horrible overheating issues

I have a g2 and its getting old, but it will last you
g4 will last as long as the g2 has, also g2 is getting 5.1.1 soon

go for an S6, edge or not. I could upgrade from my s4 mini right now but there's nothing wrong with it so it'd be a waste

get a nice case too
