That's most definitely not right...

Unless you have proof that volcanoes are getting significantly more active by the year, what's stopping us from reducing CO2 in the atmosphere by almost 50%?
Nothing is preventing us, but the technology really isn't there yet.

"We're forgeted anyway. Let's just forget it up faster!"
Great philosophy bro
When did I ever say that? Straw man 101 folks.

Here's the thing, I strawman'd because you're grasping at the straws.
Makes sense?

No, that sounds like a lame joke. It's like the "joke's on them I was only pretending" comic.

Found it for you

Technology like cars and coal plants are the exact thing causing this, all we need to do is use them less. Coal plants and factories alone probably make up at least 20-30% of that. Have you seen how bad the smog is in some areas of china and japan? Switching to renewable energy like solar plants, hydro-electric dams and wind turbines alone could make a significant difference in global warming.

Stopping using cars is a much more challenging premise, given that society basically depends entirely on personal transport. However with the continued rise of more and more affordable electric cars (The latest in-the-works one is estimated to retail for $30k, a significant step forward from the tesla's $100+k) we're making our way towards potentially limiting that too.

I'm a believer in the potential of hydrogen fuel cells, but it'll be a long time and a load of money before they become viable for use.

more like the money isn't there

renewable energy is ready to go, it just costs $$$ and fossil fuels are cheap and easy

so, economically speaking, why would people switch if it's significantly cheaper not to? even though it's ultimately to the benefit of everyone in the long run

That's a good point as well. It's cheaper to not put money into renewable/clean energy, which is why most people aren't behind it. I believe in the potential of alternative energy, but I just don't think the incentives to switch are great enough for the average person to make the switch.

Wow, you're more handicapped than I had previously thought.
It's more like you come up with bullstuff reasons on why you think global warming is out of our control and when you're disproved go "but.. but THIS!" when everything you keep coming up with is false.

It's pathetic, come up with actual data before trying to start an argument you think you can win.

Lol you're acting way immature about this.

Uh

I had data

I was more making the argument that alternative energy isn't really there yet, and that greenhouse gases come from more than just human activity.

You're really something else, about as bright as a black hole and twice as dense.

Fuel cell busses are already in the works, being developed and researched by several companies. If their technology makes it to cars and becomes affordable, it could mean another significant reduction in global warming, but only, and I stress this, if other countries cooperate. Countries like china really don't like changing their ways, only recently did they start to switch to nuclear energy plants. As of now they're predominantly using coal for power, but with the construction of 24 new nuclear power plants that should change in the next 10-15 years. Hopefully that's soon enough.

If the US gets a president who actually gives a crap about global warming, they can get other countries to cooperate.

lets all remember that the clear choice here is John Cena

what a COMEBACK

the only answer is to steal all of the coal, oil, and other fossil fuels in the world and put it in a giant safe so that all countries are forced to use green energy
