If it is then the problem still doesn't make sense. The USB header is nowhere near the PCI-E slots in that picture.

I'm probably too used to people actually being that stupid, whoops.

so this mobo he will not show us or tell us the model of, only has one pci-e 16 lane to use? and this still dosnt explain why that right angled header i linked him to buy wouldnt work. they exist for just reasons like this.
