same reason for any other fandom

what i dont get is that this dude has a crazy loving following for his games and he decides to release 4 of the bitches around the same time. he could've kept it going much longer raking in more cash if he had held back and released like one every year maybe

It looks pretty boring TBH. I can imagine getting seriously scared by jumpscares for a while, but eventually I feel like I'd just get numb to it. And there is no story besides lore speculation.

THE DEEPEST LORE

I don't find what makes the games fun in particular but maybe there's something that keeps people coming back
i cant really comment on the lore as i've never really looked too far into it. as i understand it, its about haunted animatronic pizza mascots who kill people. theres something about a child murderer, a kid who got bitten, and a whole lot of grainy cameras. maybe the lore is really good, but the gameplay itself doesn't look at all replayable. i've read that once you get the rhythm down, the game gets a lot easier, and i'm just not willing to spend my money on a game that's only really worth one playthrough

Because it's a bad game

I went into a wendy's one time, there was this kid who looked like he was 3 or 4 and kept nagging his mother to let him play, "the scary bear game", which I found out was FNaF. When a game becomes so mediocre in the horror genre that 3 and 4 year olds can play it without piddling their pants, it's obvious that it's not a good game and an extremely overrated one at best. Seriously, the horror genre has become this muddled, stuff-puddle of mediocre games that have so many cheap jumpscares that they might as well make their own genre. That is not horror that they are doing, that's just a jack in the box tactic that is cheap and not worth the pricetag that got slapped on it.

The only game in the series I find rushed is the third one.

hella this too.

there will always be a definitive amount of forgettards on the planet, they all forget to games like those or hobbies ect. we can't stop it, because it would be named genocide.

FnAF has gotten to the point to where I don't even consider it a "horror game" I have not played any of them because I already know what is going to happen. When it was just the first one I almost bought it but seriously, once the 2nd game was released it just went downhill from there. If FnAF was made in a structure that isn't basically like a flash game I would have maybe tried it.

I'm not even going to mention the fandom. Yes, I followed the lore for a bit because I found it interesting but after awhile and seeing how autistic and disgusting the fandom is I quickly left.
