Author Topic: Windows 10 Thread | I AM LATE BUT IT'S HERE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE  (Read 141945 times)

is it possible to cancel your reservation?
just... don't upgrade?

wow this thread grew much more faster than any other topic

no issues right now, haven't had any issues other than having to simply reinstall 1 program and install a driver specifically made for windows 10 (took less than 10 minutes to do all this)
i'd say upgrade even if you're worried, everything seems stable and it's worth it
downgrading to your previous OS is very fast, if you do manage to forget up, which you probably wont
although edge disappointed me

Uhh, does anyone know why the function keys won't work? (fn)

has anyone had to log back into the forums or something after installing this?
i had to refresh my laptop multiple times and i had to make a new account for youtube because it logged me out and i don't remember my password, and i don't want to make a new one

Uhh, does anyone know why the function keys won't work? (fn)
works for me, maybe something with drivers?

A Microsoft employee who wishes to remain anonymous to the public has informed Windows Central that as of 8 AM this morning, the Windows 10 OS has reportedly been installed on a massive 67 million machines.

Even more interesting is the claim that Microsoft hit a max bandwidth of 15 Tb/s, topping the previous record of Apple's 8 Tb/s during their last OS push. Microsoft has reportedly reserved up to 40Tb/s "from all of the third-party CDNs combined".

Oh my god.

Probably driver issues. Hope for a fix.

You can set your thing to say yo to you?!?!?!?!1?!?!?/!
I'm gonna actually quit stalling and update tomorrow

I haven't actually measured the actual times so what I'm spewing out is probably really inaccurate. I'll go and measure the boot times when I get home.
Okay so I did measure the time this time, about 20 seconds from when the monitor first lit on the bios screen to the log in menu. Still a good improvement from the previous 35 seconds it took when I still had Windows 7.

i swear to god microsoft designed it on purpose so that windows will do everything in its power to restart and update and take a billion years to finish. i hook up my laptop to an external monitor and put it away all the time but then my gpu crashed at desktop by just not supporting the monitor. i open the laptop up and its fine. then im like ok nothing is working like replugging or other stuff so i restart my laptop. display works fine but had to wait half an hour for updates to finish. its like it purposely did that so i would restart it. this isnt the first time its done it either it makes me wonder.
