I put this in a separate Topic because if i said it on the stickied Topic, it would probably never have been read.

In step 1D where you need to write down your DNS numbers, does anyone know what those numbers are if you have the Network Lynksys WRT54G?
If you do i would give you  :cookie:x500000 If you tell me.
Thx a bunch!!!

Just find the numbers on your routers admin page by DNS, like step 1D said to. They should be on the 'Status' page, Badspot's guide is easy enought to follow.
Also people get kinda mad at 'new people' offering 500,000 cookies for things.

ok, 1. I would follow Badspots Guide if i knew the password to the Admin page
2. I have tryed like every sing way to find out what that password is.
and 3. I'm not that new... I've been trying to do this for like 3 months now. I've recently signed up on the forums though.

Well you asked for your DNS numbers not your routers password.
For the Network Lynksys WRT54G, the default is no user-name,
Password admin, if it was changed....

If you have forgotten your LinkSys router password, the easiest thing to do is to reset your router to the factory default settings.

To restore the router configuration to factory defaults, hold the reset button on the unit for 30 seconds.

Once your router is hard reset, you will need to login and reconfigure it again.

To reconfigure your LinkSys, connect a PC to one of it's Ethernet ports, load a web browser, and go to the URL 192.168.1.1. This will take you to a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password to login to your router.

LinkSys Default Password
On older LinkSys routers, the default username is blank and the default password is "admin." On newer Linksys routers, both the default username and the default password are set to "admin."

Once you are past the login screen, you are able to reconfigure the LinkSys router.

Hope that is helpful.

look, i see your trying to be helpful, but your not. I CANT FIND MY PASSWORD so i wanted to see if someone knows the DNS number to see if it would aready be the same if i got into the admin page. The only reason why im not going in is because my parrents changed the password a long time a go and they forgot what the password is.
Srry for the confusing order of words.
