I'm scared I won't be able to end the dream.

lol, you should be more scared that you'll lose the dream.

is sleep paralysis a form of lucid dreaming

no

Has anyone here had a dream that genuinely felt like it lasted for a week or more and completely forget that you're dreaming, then waking up super confused as the dream ends?
if such a thing is possible i will find a way

living in a fake world for a week would make dealing a single day in the real world a lot more easy

I never lucid dream, and 80% of the time i don't remember my dreams unless it was a 'i wish i could keep dreaming that' thing

I honestly don't like  the idea of lucid dreaming, it sounds neat but iunno

not for me i guess

i really want to lucid dream but i never had a lucid dream before

and also i'm a little bit jealous because some people can do it easily at their first try

I only have lucid dreams
is this bad

When I fall asleep I am usually aware I am sleeping, and my dreams are usually based off of things that happened throughout my day I forgot about before falling asleep. I dont have magical abilities in my dreams but I am able to alter what is happening by interfering. Such as, someone is about to kill someone in my dream, and I am able to stop it from happening by either going into another room of my dream and forgetting it, or by killing that person in my dream myself.

what do you people do in lucid dreams

can you control the world around you

and lastly, does it feel like you're "awake", like experiencing it in "real time"

you lucky motherforgeter

i never been able to get a single lucid dream

i was able to make stuff magically come into existance and fly
also stop bad things from happening by pretending it doesn't exist
tis neat
but if you try to do too many things you'll probably slowly wake up as the dream fades to grey
and sometimes the things you try to do won't work, like sometimes you won't fly, you'll just fall

it does not feel like you're awake, more like it's "foggy" in a sense
as if you're not 100% as conscious as you would be when you're awake, but you can still think pretty well

this is all from my experiences and other people may differ

I can directly control every action I want to make and can feel everything.
It's quite creepy honestly.

This is just me, but whenever I lucid dream I feel kinda floaty, like not fully there.

huh, thanks guys

also, does it feel fun, or good - and how long does it "last" would you say in the dream - does it vary?

when you become lucid: not very long. a few minutes or so, at least for me
your sense of time is pretty messed up while dreaming anyway so it feels shorter

Due to it being summer for me and I sleep in like a friend, it can last for 10 - 15 minutes for me.
It also depends on the situation at hand, if it's doing something fun, or creepy as all forget (because I have a lot of stress, so I have dreams that represent that (being chased, ect.)).
