Author Topic: Medium-Sized Modern House  (Read 4459 times)

After seeing all the amazing house builds recently, I decided to build something like that as well, it's nowhere near the level of detail of the other ones,
but I gave it my best shot.

House Details:
1 Floor
5 Rooms (Counting the garage)
1 Bathroom
1 Bedroom
Garage

Images are taken from two corners of the room.

Foyer

Kitchen

Living Room/Main Room

Bedroom

Bathroom

Garage

Outside Shots

I have uploaded a video that tours the house, it shows interactive parts and more details that the screenshots didn't cover.

You should add some color to it. Everything is grey.

the floor is really plain. it needs some style

couch made of stone slabs

Those windows are ugly. I do not understand why people think that style looks good.

I would not exactly call this a "Modern House". But a house in general, it is extremely boxy, and I cringed at the couch. Just try to add some shape to it.
I googled "House Layout". Try to follow a lay out like this. Also, the floors are very basic, you can try adding some tiles or something.

goddamn that couch is spammy

It looks more like my first builds, but more detailed. I must say that if you'll use a few more colors (not gray color shades) it will looks more like real house.

The trees are so phallic that nobody could sit on them

I honestly didn't go for looks when I built this, I like the house more for it's interactive stuff, but I will fix the floors and windows.

It looks fantastic, however when you want to make something modern, it doesn't necessarily mean that it'll need to be in a grey format. Consider basic complimentary colors while trying to contain them in a non-exciting equilibrium. Maybe have a red flower in the center of the room, with a green circular carpet. Play with colors a little bit, but don't run away with them.
