Author Topic: Why do people commit Self Delete?  (Read 16605 times)

Well, there are many ways you could answer this question. But really, it's all about perception. I know people who grew up in the hood with pregnant sisters, but still have dreams of becoming astronomers and are some of the most positive people I know. Same person in same condition, but has a negative attitude now. He has contemplated Self Delete and just sits in his room and watches Youtube all day, eating Doritos and Diet Coke for all of his meals. It's all about your perception of what's going on around you, and how you fit into it.

People commit Self Delete because they're mentally ill. It's as simple as that.

Depression is a mental disorder that can lead to Self Delete.

Reading some posts, I realize that I don't really understand depression. I can't really see myself as depressed, I'm usually forever hopeful. But I also don't understand how it's possible for people to just give up like that.

Wrong. Depression is a disease.

...no, I'm pretty sure it's a disorder.

Depression.

Self Delete is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
this, also i don't think enough people actually settle down and realize the things they can be thankful for (education, house, profitable job, etc)

good summary actually

i dont understand why people say it's not selfish to kill yourself, you're permanently scarring friends and family to end a temporary dilemma. idk i guess you could bring up the same argument as to why kids cut themselves.

this, also i don't think enough people actually settle down and realize the things they can be thankful for (education, house, profitable job, etc)
I've been saying this for a while, but I learned depression isn't something you can work around with just logic. I have hypochondria, and even though I know I'm not constantly sick and dying, my anxiety still makes me think I am. Sometimes you mind can create barriers that reason can't penetrate.
