Author Topic: I keep getting malicious popups in Chrome on my tablet  (Read 683 times)

Lately, I've been having trouble with my tablet. I can't visit some websites without a popup saying something like this:
Warning! Your phone has (13) virus.
It tries to download adware to my tablet, but chrome stops the download. I've already cleared my cache and cookies, what do I do to stop these ads? And no, I don't have any malicious apps installed.
Edit: the issue seems to be with the websites I visit. I'm just going to lock the thread, since the issue was found.

Try using a trial of Malwarebytes?

Try using a trial of Malwarebytes?
Nothing, it just seems to be a random browser popup and not anything malicious installed on my tab.

i only get those on research sites

Occurs on quite a few websites. The popups all come from this one domain that I will refrain from posting publicly. The websites I often use a lot are not affected, however.
EDIT: The domain is paulgrenwood.com. Visit at your own risk.
