It's the same method that most default BL weapons use, projectile and explosion. Without one or the other there's no cause & effect.. I tried and it just feels less visceral.


I saw those skeleton models before on the modeling topic i think.
Still think they are a bit too buff looking. :P
The NPC's seem to spawn a bit too late for my liking, making it feel less as if they were always there, which you kinda probably want the player to think at least.
The bow looked pretty neat too.

Totally agree, I've still to edit how they spawn! I'm thinking of putting them miles away for a millisecond so that the spawn sound isn't heard as well, that way it will seem like there's millions of bots always around. The player presence needed to spawn bots will be increased too. And obviously they'll be time gated too so it'll be less bot spam and more a living world

I figured it was just temporary, but i said it anyway, just to make sure. :P
But yeah, if you keep going like this i am sure this will be lots of fun.
I have now also seen your video about the magic staff and it sure looks good.

I definitely will! Every day I get faster at making things. Today I made a Warhorn for the Knight which can alert and buff allies in a given radius.

model looks good but i think that sound needs to be changed. seems too short

Hm, I think so too now. Warhorn sounds are suprisingly hard to find in decent quality (the sound I used is just a pitch shifted airhorn sound) but I'll tinker with the sound some more

either of these sound pretty good, although a pitch shift might make them better
